In 2005 and 2006 strong rumours were circulating that Mongoose Publishing Ltd would be producing an official Doctor Who role-playing game based on the unisystem under licence from Eden Studios, Inc. Despite a number of playtests based on the Buffy and Angel role-playing games seen at conventions, no system has subsequently emerged, although a unisystem rules wiki has been set up for fans of the system.
