In grand old Doctor Who tradition, Newapocrypha is a spin-off of the yahoo forum of the same name. Set up as a group to discuss continuity and role-playing, the group was itself inspired by the 90s fanzine Apocrypha, which had similar objectives.

The core team responsible for managing this site are yahoo veterans.
Metabaron is the former publisher and editor of Apocrypha, Doctor Dante is the owner of the Newapocrypha yahoo group, and Mondova is the owner of another yahoo group which inspired our Ask the Matrix project.
