While there are some excellent guides available in books and online - reference guides, discontinuity guides, the I, Who books and others, these entries barely skim the surface for the level of detail required for the modern continuity-hungry Doctor Who fan. As such, newapocrypha has chosen to approach each story in detail, with the ambitious objective of providing annotations for every aspect of continuity that might arise in each work of fiction.

Title
The Last Dodo
The title reflects one of the principal themes of season 3 of the new series: that the Doctor is the Last of the Time Lords.

Mauritius, 1681
In reality, the exact time the dodo became extinct is uncertain. The last confirmed sighting was in 1662 and latest conjectures place the extinction of the dodo as 1693. The date of 1681 is a popular conjecture.

'I can offer you... a kronkburger on Reblais Beta'
Originally introduced on a parallel earth (c.1977)ruled by the Malevilus in the DWW comic strip The Iron Legion, the krongburger was adopted by the new series during the Doctor, Rose and Adam's first visit to Satellite 5 in The Long Game.

The kronkburger is low quality fast food - the galactic equivalent of the hamburger, and it is fairly safe to assume that the kronk is the name of a herd animal farmed to provide the meat. They must be popular for the term to survive 5 billion years unchanged.
