The history of the Daleks is the single most altered chronology seen in the Doctor Who universe. Attempts by the Doctor and the Time Lords to change the dalek timeline were the catalyst for the Time War that saw the two races destroy each other.


In addition, multiple attempts to reinterpret, reinvent, retcon and even rewrite dalek history over the last 40 years have resulted in several often contradictory histories, any of which could turn out to be the right one at any given point in history.
