Aneth
Aneth is a planet that first appeared in the The Horns of Nimon.
Location
Aneth is part of the Skonnon Empire, near the planet Crinoth.
Inhabitants
The Anethans, like all memebers of the Skonnon Empire, are humanoids indistinguishable from the humans of Earth.
History
A cluster of independent worlds united by common ancestry spanning a hundred star systems fell to the might of Skonnos, which formed the Skonnon Empire. This lasted until a civil war on Skonnos wiped out everyone but the military. Fearing the collapse of their Empire, the Skonnons accepted the secret sponsorship of the alien Nimon in return for sacrifices in the hope of reviving their Empire. The exposure of the Nimon and rebellion by Seth of Aneth leds to the final disintegration of the Empire.
Environment
Aneth is rocky world and a major source of hymetusite, which is used (along with Anethan sacrifices) to pay tribute to Skonnos..
