Aktexia is a planet mentioned in the 1975 Doctor Who Annual. It appears in a feature/puzzle entitled The Secret Steps.

Aktexia is located within a trinary star system. Similarities between Aktexians and Earth's reptiles, and between Aktexian culture and that of Mesopoamerica could point to the system being located within the Milky Way galaxy.

Aktexian are a race of bipedal reptilians whose culture reflects Earth's Mesoamerican cultures (Aztec , Mayan etc.).

History

Aktexian culture has involved the building of stepped pyramids and the representation of the world's three suns in the form of an artifact known as the Ixis.

Aktexia is a world of deserts, rain-forests and mountains.
